I assume we all want to know what items these top ranked guilds using in GWWC battles, I hope you can post what you know from your observation and/or things you read on their forums.

I will provide what I observed:

Val--nothing special form what I observed.
warriors use new green axe and shield
monks wearing PHY+10 vest and pants, using 20/20 bone staff for OoB
ele, mesmer, ranger, necro--I could not tell what they wearing/using.

WM
I saw warriors wearing regular helmet when oppsite team got 2 mesmers, its one of WM vs LuM match. this took me by surprise.
warriors using coca shield which English communities dont have
coca shield stats what what I know its
req9 str
30hp always
-1dam in stance
also warriors using sword with vampire mod

monk
using rod and offhand--odd
I could not tell what rod they using but offhand looks a lot like a soulstone(maybe wrong)
they wearing PHY+10 vest and pants
another match ,they use holy staff , of course I cant tell the stats but I am sure its not bone staff and they using OoB. what's the back up story making them choosing holy staff over bone staff for OoB ???

pretty much standard set like Val, nothing much to talk about, English guilds lack of surprises. Well, I may be lack of observing, dont get mad on me for this.

Evil:
monks wearing SKIRTS in the final battle.. Is they skirt armor with +5 armor for ele damage??? why did on earth they do that? dont tell me skirts are for pretty in final battle.
And monks using a staff which looks like a green staff. Its a very short staff, I am wondering what it is.
warriors -- standard Korean style, coca shield with sword. and a hammer.
At one point of the game, warriors switch to a black staff ( could be green items or shadow staff) to wand, what the heck is this, another thing i dont get.
my post worked on memory, there are could be some errors.

I am very curious about korean's monk weapon set and why they wore that skirt armor in final?

I hope someone can provide infomations about my bold characters.

Monk with rod and offhand probably means Gardoc's Needle and Gardoc's Hookblood which is both a 20% on Blood recharge - giving a nice 36% overall chance of faster recharge (and 4% out of it with the chance of four times faster recharge). Holy staff is also clear - it can have better mods for in between (+10 armor, +60 life or whatever you like), you just have to focus switch to the Blood items for OoB.

Warriors switching to staves is not uncommon - you can hold your adrenaline without having to get into melee range - there are situations where this makes perfect sense.

As for monks wearing skirts - maybe they recognized WM for having elemental mods on their weapons (I saw an IDS at one point) to make the +physical armor useless. So they took at least one part of the elemental armor to have better protection against this.

The coke shield is +30hp always, -1dmg recieved in a stance and req 9 tactics.
